Grief-Focused Therapy
$170 · 50 min
Grief therapy for the loss of a spouse, parent, or someone important to you. Support to
process your grief, navigate multiple losses, and work through what feels complicated or unresolved. A space
to feel understood, find your footing, and make meaning of your loss.
Grief-Focused Therapy
Grief isn't always straightforward. You may feel stuck, overwhelmed by emotions, or find that
your loss is affecting parts of life you didn't expect. Together, we can make sense of what you're
experiencing, explore what feels unfinished or difficult to carry, and find ways to live with your loss while
making room for life to continue.
How clients often feel afterwardLess alone and less confused by your grief,
with a renewed sense of hope and the
freedom to experience moments of joy alongside your loss.
A supportive, non-judgemental space to explore what you’re experiencing and better understand
yourself, your emotions, and the patterns that keep showing up in your relationships and life. We’ll work
together to create greater clarity, self-understanding, and meaningful change.
Individual Psychotherapy
You may spend so much time looking after others, meeting expectations, or trying to get things right that it becomes hard to know what you need or want for yourself. You might find yourself taking on too much, putting others first, trying to please everyone, or being hard on yourself. Sometimes, these patterns have roots in childhood experiences, trauma or difficult relationships. Therapy offers space to explore how your past may be shaping your present, make sense of your reactions, and develop a more compassionate understanding of yourself.
How clients often feel afterwardMore connected to yourself and what you need, less driven by the need to meet everyone’s expectations, and better able to navigate life with greater clarity, self-trust, and compassion.
We all have parts of ourselves that show up in different ways — the inner critic, the part
that tries to keep everyone happy, or the part that feels overwhelmed. IFS helps you understand these parts,
where they come from, and what they may need, so you can respond to yourself with greater curiosity and
compassion.
IFS Therapy
Sometimes we react in ways we don't fully understand, are harder on ourselves than we'd like to be, or find ourselves repeating patterns we'd hoped to change. IFS helps us get curious about these experiences and understand the different parts of ourselves, including those that feel anxious, critical, or overwhelmed.
Rather than trying to push these feelings away, we learn to listen to what they may be telling us, with greater curiosity and compassion. Over time, this can help us feel less caught up in our reactions and more connected to ourselves.
How clients often feel afterwardA better understanding of yourself, more compassion for your feelings and reactions, and a growing sense of inner calm and balance.
I'm not the kind of therapist who sits quietly and nods for fifty minutes. I'm warm, curious, and genuinely glad to know you. Before this work, I spent twenty years in education, and I bring real experience with grief, parenting, and family dynamics into every session.
I hold a Master's in Counselling Psychology and I'm a certified Grief Educator, but my own experience with loss taught me just as much. Healing can include humour and hope, too. Every part of you is welcome here.
who i am
I am warm, compassionate, funny (at appropriate moments), and easy to talk to. I bring genuine interest and thoughtful questions to my work with clients, while making room for different perspectives and experiences.
WARM, CURIOUS & DOWN-TO-EARTH
My own experiences with grief, parenting, and significant life changes have shaped how I understand loss and the complicated feelings that can come with it. They’ve also given me a deeper appreciation for how difficult it can be to find your footing when life changes or when you’ve been carrying too much for too long.
I GET IT.
We all have beliefs, identities, experiences, and patterns that shape how we see ourselves and the world. We may also have fears, difficult emotions, and coping mechanisms we’ve developed to manage what’s hard—even when they’re no longer helpful. These are welcome in therapy and can be explored with curiosity, compassion, and without judgment.
Thanks for your interest! I will get back to you within 2 business days!
Thank You
